In a desert where opposites embrace, a clear glass vase rests—overflowing with water beyond the brim, impossibly calm, impossibly abundant. Within it, blooms of Silene coronaria float, rootless but radiant, their soft magenta petals lifted by light alone. Though severed from the earth, they thrive—drinking in the warmth of a sun that still shines.

Surrounding them is a land of contradiction: soil and shimmering blue water mingle underfoot, a mirage made real. And just beyond this surreal oasis, a golden tree stands alone—tall, bare, unbroken. Its slender limbs twist upward and outward, encircling the bright sun in a quiet gesture of reverence.

But the sky is beginning to change.

Though the sun beams down now, clouds are gathering in the distance—hushed and heavy, whispering of an oncoming dim. And the golden tree feels it. From deep within its body, a soft blue glow begins to pulse—cool, spectral, and alive. The light within it shines like a soul clinging to hope.

It does not beg for itself. It endures. But it glows with silent urgency, as if pleading with the sun: stay a little longer... keep blessing the flowers. For though the blooms thrive in abundance, they are still rootless, still fragile. And the tree—though empty of leaves and rich with quiet strength—will hold its shape as long as needed, if only the light will remain.

This is a painting of paradox and devotion: of presence and absence, bloom and dusk, golden bark and blue soul. A silent prayer caught between daylight and shadow—a visual hymn for the moments before the light begins to fade.

Please note: This print includes a white border on all sides for easy framing. The artwork itself is centered within this space.
